Senior Management Changes At Amesbury and Truth Hardware

Tyman Plc, the parent company of both Amesbury and Truth Hardware, has announced senior management changes as part of the integration of the business following the acquisition of Truth in July of 2013.

Truth's Acquisition by Tyman Plc Featured in DWM Magazine

Tyman Plc, the parent company of Amesbury, completed the acquisition of Truth Hardware of Owatonna, Minn., from Melrose Industries Plc on July 15. The two former competitors and industry leading hardware companies will now be under the same corporate ownership. What does this mean for its customers, employees and the industry as a whole? Jonathan Petromelis, president and CEO Amesbury and Jeff Graby, president at Truth, spoke to DWM magazine to offer some of the details behind the big news.

Stretching Productivity

Recently, Truth Hardware was recognized by Enterprise Minnesota for their Overall Wellness Program. Repetitive work and the aging process can take a toll on muscles and joints.  Experts have found that stretching can help reduce muscle-related discomfort and reduce future injuries. In addition, the stretch breaks reduce fatigue of the muscles and help increase the productivity of our employees.

Truth Hardware Recognizes National Window Safety Week

The National Safety Council (NSC), and leading industry organizations have chosen the first full week of April every year as National Window Safety Week. This year's event runs from April 7-13, 2013 and coincides with that time of year when homeowners are beginning to open up their windows to let in the fresh spring air.

Heavier Sash Demanding More from Window Hardware

Two of Truth's product managers, Aaron Mundt and Connie Trom, were recently interviewed for Window and Door Magazine, where they were able to share their thoughts about industry trends regarding window size and hardware performance. One of the products alluded to in the article is Truth's High Performance Casement Hinge, and another is an integrated lock and latch system for sliding windows, such as our Harmony System.

ICC Supports Window Opening Control Devices that comply with ASTMF2090

In a recent story found in the June issue of Door & Window Manufacturer (DWM) Magazine, it was reported that the International Code Council (ICC) made a change saying that window opening control devices complying with ASTM F2090 shall be installed where an existing window is replaced.

Truth Wins Crystal Achievement Awards

Recently Truth Hardware participated in the GlassBuild America Tradeshow in Atlanta, GA. Sponsored by the National Glass Association (NGA) this tradeshow annually alternates in venues between Las Vegas and Atlanta and draws a large audience of businesses related to the window and door industry. During this show, NGA recognized the winners of this years Crystal Achievement Awards and Truth Hardware was fortunate to win, not one, but two awards this year.
